GS Construction introduces ‘Mini Storage Darak’ to Xi…“Residents can store items”

Remote self-storage management through the Xi Home app[Edaily reporter Park Ji-ae] GS Construction announced on the 29th that it will introduce the personalized storage service ‘Mini Storage Darak’ to Xi apartment complexes in collaboration with storage service company Second Syndrome.
Taking a step beyond existing offline communities, it is expanding into a residential experience that connects online and offline through a mobile app.
The personalized storage service to be introduced to GS Construction's Xi, ‘Mini Storage Darak’, is a smart household storage service optimized for residents' lifestyles. If residents lack space inside their units, they can freely store items in shared areas through this service and retrieve them when needed.
Xi residents can choose from various types of household storage to suit their lifestyles, such as camping gear, bulky clothing, and books, and can use features such as stored-item data management, systematic environmental control including temperature and humidity monitoring, and IoT-based remote opening and closing control through the apartment's integrated service app, ‘Xi Home’.
In addition, through future discussions, the company is also considering additional benefits such as an insurance system to minimize losses from item loss and free transport service to nearby branches exclusive to residents.
A GS Construction official said, “This collaboration with Second Syndrome is an example of extending Xi's experience-based premium community philosophy to the functions of the space,” adding, “We will continue to discover services that can solve inconveniences in residents' daily lives and set a new standard for residential culture.”
Meanwhile, the Mini Storage Darak service from Second Syndrome, which collaborated with the premium Xi brand this time, is currently the No. 1 brand in Korea's self-storage industry, operating 180 branches with 80,000 members and a repeat usage rate of 91.5%, making it a new-concept residential service.
