Mini storage attic
We reveal every step of the open preparation process before the Darak Jonggak Station branch opened
Hello, this is the self-storage service ‘Mini Warehouse Darak’.
When customers visit a Darak branch, they naturally encounter clean units and a convenient system. But behind that 'naturalness' is the careful work of the Darak team, prepared long before the branch opens.
Today, we’ll reveal all the behind-the-scenes details of what happened on site before the Darak Jonggak Station branch opened.

We think about the customer flow first, even down to the smallest sign
The first step in branch opening preparation is attaching customer guidance signs. We place each sign one by one so even first-time visitors can easily find which unit is where and where to get a cart. Since the signs were directly designed by Darak's brand designer, they also maintain a consistent look and feel.
Because the Jonggak Station branch has an arched building structure, customer flow was especially important. From the exterior to the entrance, elevator, and basement access routes, we walk the paths ourselves and record photos of the most convenient way for customers to find us. Since the building has multiple entrances, we checked everything even more carefully.
45 pyeong, 84 units — the scale of the Jonggak Station branch

The Jonggak Station branch has a total of 84 units in a 45-pyeong space. It is one of the larger Darak branches, and because it is located in a new building, the facility management condition is also clean. Parking is available on basement levels B2 through B4, and if you register your vehicle number on the branch's tablet PC, you can also get 1 hour of free parking.
We fill even the unseen places with technology
Once the sign installation is finished, the full technical setup begins. Although it is not visible on the surface, this is the core process that makes Darak's unmanned operation possible.
Network setup — We configure the internet connection and build the network so the units can operate normally remotely. Only after this work is complete can headquarters monitor the opening and closing status of all units in real time.
Access system integration — We install a security system so only customers, building managers, and Darak staff can enter. Creating a structure that anyone cannot simply walk into is the first condition for unmanned operation.
IoT remote management hub installation — We install the IoT hub that manages the temperature and humidity throughout the branch. This device allows remote control of the air conditioner and dehumidifier, and in branches that are large or have many types of equipment, we sometimes install two or more hubs. After installation, we record the hub location and management number so that even if someone else comes later, they can find it right away, systematizing the process.
From checking CCTV blind spots to counting the sprinklers
Once the technical setup is complete, it is time for the safety inspection.
We take a laptop and check the CCTV screens one by one. We carefully verify that every unit appears on screen without omission and that there are no blind spots. At the Jonggak Station branch, unit 13 was slightly obscured, so we also made fine adjustments to the camera angle.
We also count and record the number of sprinklers ourselves. There are 24 installed at the Jonggak Station branch, and accurately understanding the location and quantity of these devices, which spray water in the event of a fire, is a basic part of safety management. The emergency bell board is also placed where it is most visible from the main traffic route, so that in the event of a safety incident, the security company can be dispatched immediately with just one button press.
At this stage, we also prepare an internal guide that maintenance vendors and staff can refer to. We organize the locations of the electrical panel, piping divisions, and equipment information so that anyone arriving on site can understand everything right away.
Even the signboard lighting is IoT — Darak's technical philosophy
At the Jonggak Station branch, we also conducted a test by installing an IoT controller on the signboard for the first time at Darak. It is a system that remotely controls the signboard lighting on and off, and after an on-site test, we confirmed that it works normally even indoors.
The Darak operations team takes pride in being "a company that always introduces cutting-edge technology first."
Preview the branch before your visit with VR filming
Once all the setup is complete, we finish with VR filming. We scan the entire branch in 360 degrees so customers can look around the branch interior online without visiting in person.
In large branches, this is a time-consuming task that requires moving the camera position dozens of times, but we carry it out at every branch without exception for customer convenience. The recorded VR video can be viewed by branch on the Darak website.
A branch made together by partners and collaborators
At the Jonggak Station branch opening preparation site, it was not just the Darak operations team. The partner who invested in the branch also visited the site in person to check the branch as it was being completed, and the partner company in charge of the interior also joined in the finishing work.
The partner's comment was simple, yet full of confidence.
"It looks good. I’m really looking forward to it."
All of this is what makes Darak feel like Darak
From putting up one sign to adjusting the CCTV angle by just one degree. Every small detail that customers may not even notice contains the sincerity and care of the Darak team.
It may be unmanned operation, but behind it, human hands are carefully involved. We hope you were able to feel that a little through today's behind-the-scenes look at the Jonggak Station branch.
Every Darak branch is an important branch, and we put the same care into every one of them.
