Mini Warehouse Darak Opens 2 New Branches Near Daejeon Yongmun Station and Bundang Sunae Station
Second Syndrome, the operator of the self-storage (shared storage) brand ‘Mini Warehouse Darak’, has added two new branches and is expanding its nationwide footprint.

The newly opened branches are the ▲Daejeon Yongmun Station branch and ▲Bundang Sunae Station branch, bringing the total to two. Through this opening, Second Syndrome has expanded its service coverage to Daejeon, a key city in the Chungcheong region, and the Bundang area in the southern part of the Seoul metropolitan region, further strengthening its position as a leading self-storage brand with the country's largest network of more than 220 branches.
The newly opened branches were strategically designed to reflect the characteristics of each commercial district and residential environment. They are a case that condenses Second Syndrome's years of accumulated know-how in transforming spaces, which redefines the value of underutilized assets and reconstructs them into highly efficient storage infrastructure. Rather than simple remodeling, structural innovation secured operational efficiency and scalability.
The Daejeon Yongmun Station branch is an example of an existing partner opening an additional branch, demonstrating that its stable profitability and operating model have been proven.
'Mini Warehouse Darak' has built AIoT-based Space Intelligence at all branches, enabling fully unmanned automated operations. It maintains appropriate temperature and humidity so customers' belongings can be stored safely, and the headquarters continuously monitors conditions inside each branch to respond quickly in the event of an accident.
Its strengths include a customer experience that provides the entire process from contract to use 24 hours a day through Korea's only dedicated mobile app, and users can visit a branch in advance before signing a contract through the 'tour function' to check the size of the storage unit and the flow of movement.
Thanks to this user-centered service, it has won support not only from individual customers but also from small business owners, freelancers, and online sellers, and the average customer usage period is about 11 months, showing a high proportion of long-term use.
An official from the operator said, "With more one-person households and rising housing costs, demand for efficient use of space is increasing," adding, "As last year's revision to the Building Act has further strengthened the basis for operations in urban areas, we plan to continue broadening customer touchpoints nationwide this year through aggressive branch expansion."
